Description of fountain from the artist: "The first manuscript I ever wrote was entitled: Empath. It was about a young professor who could see people's auras, good, bad, ugly, and...the others. And on the first day of class, a new student arrived with a monstrous aura. This Empath is a much kinder gentler being. If you're so sensitive, you feel you can actually see other people's pain, anger, joy. If you're really really tuned in, then this piece is for you." Each fountain is handpainted on the backside of the lexan in what is best known as reverse painting technique to give it that realistic feel. Size: 48" tall by 27.5" wide by 6" deep. Material: Copper.

The backlighting is in the form of little stars or glow fireflies. These "stars" are a new high-tech strand of rice lights that put out virtually no heat, are literally the size of grains of rice, and last for a long, long time....5000 hours.
